And if you catch yourself thinking the photos here look and feel a little different - well, I agree. I find that the photos people cherish the most all have one thing in common. They capture the truth. They showcase the authentic feelings and raw emotions that were present in the moment.

My approach to photography is to be an observer. So much of what makes a wedding, an engagement, or a day in the park so special are the little things. I observe and document what’s around me so that the greater story can be told and remembered. In a way, each photo I take is nothing more than a moment, framed.

FAQs

  • I have called Brussels home for the past 8 years, and I live here with my wife and two small children. The majority of the weddings I shoot are located in Belgium, but I am open and available for travel to neighbouring countries for your big day!

  • I use a private online gallery that gives you easy access to all of the photos for download (both high resolution and web-ready), and it makes sharing the gallery with family and friends a breeze! You will also be able to easily order prints and create albums through this service.

  • I don't set a maximum or minimum number of photos to send, but I typically end up with about 50-75 photos per hour of coverage, and often times more. Even if there are similar/nearly identical photos that turned out well, I will send them all so that you can choose which ones you prefer the most.

  • Photos are sent, at most, 6-8 weeks after the wedding, but often times, they are completed earlier than that. I also happily accommodate requests to send a few photos (typically 3-5) in the following days of the wedding if you'd like to use one as a 'thank you' note for your guests.

  • Great question! You can email me at hello@amomentframed.com. I imagine that will be the start of a wonderful conversation.

  • Without question and unequivocally, yes. Love is love, and sharing a day of this magnitude with all types of humans is a unique honour and a privilege.

  • As much as possible, I try not to 'pose' couples I am shooting. The beauty of shooting the real and the genuine is just that - it is unstaged, raw, and representative of the feelings and emotions present at that time. My goal is to be an observer and to capture the images that truly reflect your special day.

However, during some of the bridal portraits and family shots, if requested, I will certainly work with you in a way that makes you as comfortable as possible in front of the camera. Often, that doesn't involve helping you pose, rather it's creating a welcoming environment to help you feel confident representing your true self.
